Front Yard Portraits
(2021—2022)
Community portraits during a covid-19 lockdown in South Auckland. Participants were asked to manifest their ideal summer. This series of photos was intended to be a hopeful outlook in contrast to the situation at the time.

Community Service: Family Portraits
(2023)
“What does service look like as a Pacific artist within your community?”. Upon rediscovering my own family portraits, I was reminded of the importance of capturing these moments, and the value Pacific people place on the documentation of their loved ones. To create a new series of work, I utilised social media to reach out to my community, offering free family photographs taken outside of their homes. This has resulted in a series of seven portraits of families who responded to the social media call out.
